Punjab government would establish an Urban Estate near Ladhowal Bye-Pass Ludhiana

According to Housing and Urban Development Minister Aman Arora, the Punjab government will build a residential and commercial urban estate in Ludhiana as part of the overall development of the city.

Aman Arora, minister for housing and urban development, announced that the Punjab government would establish an urban estate, a residential and commercial project, spread across 2,000 acres near the Ladowal bypass in Ludhiana, while presiding over a high-level meeting to assess the operation of the Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) at Mohali. Around 2,000 acres of land around the Ladowal bypass in Bagga Kalan, Noorpur Bet, Garha, and Gounspur are already being acquired by GLADA. In the meantime, during the meeting, instructed the relevant officials to begin the process of acquiring the land for the proposed estate, while requesting them to do so through land pooling in accordance with the GMADA model.

The site selection committee’s recommendation for the location and the hiring of a consultant to help with the land acquisition were both informed to the minister.
